There’s something about churros that always takes me back to childhood—sweet, buttery dough fried to perfection and coated in a generous layer of cinnamon sugar. It’s pure nostalgia and the perfect sweet treat.

Crispy on the outside soft and chewy on the inside. Doused in the most delicious cinnamon sugar blend. This classic sweet treats will NEVER get old and always have a special place in my heart and stomach. haha!
They are very simple to make. it only requires a few steps and come together in no time. A dessert the whole family will love, if… you decide to share them!
NOTE: I know my churros look like turds, let’s ignore the fact that I didn’t have the right piping bag haha! They were still good and satisfied my craving. And that’s all that matters. If you want the classic look be sure to pick up this Churro pipe.

How to make Churros?
Start by melting butter, water, sugar, vanilla, and salt in a saucepan. Once the butter has melted, stir in the flour until a thick, gummy dough forms. Transfer the dough to a bowl, and let the mixture cool. Once the mixture cools down mix in eggs, one at a time, until well incorporated and smooth. Transfer the dough to a piping bag.
Heat neutral oil in a pan to 350°F. Carefully pipe 6-inch pieces of dough into the oil and fry until golden brown.
Using a spider skimmer, drain the and toss them in cinnamon sugar. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce, if desired and enjoy!
deep fryer vs pot?
You can use either a deep fryer or a pot filled with oil for this. I personally love using this deep fryer. Make sure to heat the oil and test it with a thermometer or a small piece of dough. If the dough floats to the top or the thermometer reads 360°F, your oil is ready.

What you’ll need to make Churros?
The great thing about this recipe is that they use pantry staples.
- All Purpose Flour
- Water
- Butter
- Sugar
- Eggs
- Vanilla
- Cinnamon
- Sugar
What to serve these Churros with?
- Nutella
- dulce de leche
- caramel
- ice cream
- cold glass of milk

How to ReHEAT Churros?
I recommend enjoying churros fresh, but if you have leftovers, skip the sugar coating and store them in an airtight container and refrigerate. When you’re ready to eat, reheat the in the oven at 325°F, then toss them in cinnamon-sugar to bring back that freshly made churro taste.
